BTS/Node B Senior Engineer/Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working in the Radio team
• Responsible for the maintenance and system changes of the BTS/NodeB, SDH, Microwave transmission equipment of the Cell Sites.
• To work with the team for system handover and acceptance for the new cell sites or capacity expansion

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Holder of Degree in Telecom, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or related discipline or equivalent
• For Senior Engineer, 5 years of experience in the 2G and 3G cell sites
• For Engineer, 3 years of experience in the 2G and 3G cell sites
• In-depth experience in BTS/NodeB, Microwave and SDH transmission equipment
• Strong technical know how on Ericsson BTS/Node B and SDH, and NEC Microwave is highly desirable
• Good experience in Cell Site CME ( AC/DC power, air conditioning )
• Familiar with PC applications which include MS Word, Excel, Project and SQL database
• Good leadership and excellent inter-personal skills
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Job Title         : BTS Engineer Nortel CDMA

Responsible for installation, maintenance and integration of Wireless equipment. Diagnoses, troubleshoots, repairs and debugs complex electro-mechanical equipment, computer systems, complex software, networked and/or wireless systems. Provides lead technician support to Engineers and subcontractors.

Detailed Responsibilities:

• Takes direction from lead technicians on customer projects.
• Installs and routes transmission cable.
• Installs grounding cables.
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots and repairs wireless equipment.
• Takes inventory and tracks components in the field.
• Performs and validates quality tests
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Associates Degree (AA) from a two-year college or technical school.
• 3-4 years of telecom installation and maintenance experience.
• Must be able to work well in a high-pressure environment.
• Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook.
• Must have valid drivers license.
• Understands OSHA work safety requirements.

Minimum 3 years Nortel BTS, T1, AC/DC power, cabling, alarm punchdowns, troubleshoot hardware devices, MOPS.
