Software Engineer, Ireland

Duration : 6 months + Contract

Our Client - a Global Leader in mobile and fixed networks, multimedia solutions and telecom services, is currently looking for an experienced Software Engineer.

Software Engineer will join our client's team on a contract basis and assist in design and development of customized solutions for their end customers.

Software Engineer will be responsible for design and development of Tech-Packs to process stat files being sent out to Performance Monitoring Tool from mobile network components. The duties will include, but will not be limited to:
  • Working as part of a team,
  • Designing & Developing Tech-Packs using stat files,
  • Being involved in product testing,
  • Being involved in deployment, integration and troubleshooting.
Essential Skills & Knowledge
  • Proven track record in Software Development, E2E software development lifecycle experience,
  • Experience working with stat files (XML, Binary files etc),
  • Experience with scripting languages (Perl, Shell etc.),
  • Database Design & Development experience, ideally with Sybase,
  • Software implementation, integration and troubleshooting experience.

Desirable
1. Performance Monitoring/Management tools experience,
2. Previous mobile telecommunications experience,
3. Experience with tools such as ENIQ, SPM or PMS,
4. Experience with Java,

RAN Transmission Engineer



A leading telecommunications company in Hertfordshire is currently looking for a RAN Transmission Engineer.

You will be required to work as part of a shift working team to monitor the availability and performance of the RAN. You will need to perform 1st Line diagnostics to result in remote restoration or in the raising of the trouble ticket to the appropriate resolving team.

You will need to be comfortable with a shift working environment with early and late shifts including weekends.

Strong knowledge 3G/2G and Ideally be from a telecommunications background.

This is a 3 months rolling contact.

Utilising the resources of some of some 350 directly employed staff, supported by numerous external contractors, Estates & Property Services is responsible for delivering a full facilities management service to the University in support of its Academic Strategy. The Division is responsible for capital development, property maintenance, cleaning, security, caretaking and campus receptions.

The Division manages reception desks in three of the University's buildings - Maxwell, Adelphi and the Old Fire Station. We are seeking to appoint self motivated individuals to work as part of the Divisional Reception Team.

Our aim is to provide a welcoming and helpful service to students, staff and all types of visitors. This involves maintaining information displays and giving information, guidance and assistance to customers, both face to face and by telephone.

You should have proven clerical experience, together with a commitment to providing a high level of customer service. You will have excellent verbal communication skills, along with a flexible approach to work, and the ability to prioritise and organise a varied workload.

Experience of dealing with customers is essential, and you should have a good standard of education with competence in English and Maths. An NVQ level 1 in a customer service or business subject would be an advantage.

Lecturer in Flood and Sediment Dynamics - School of Earth and Environment

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated scientist to bridge between our research groups such as the Sedimentology Group in the Institute of Geological Sciences, School of Earth and Environment and our River Basin Processes and Management Research Cluster in the School of Geography. You will work in an area that contributes to understanding of the interactions between fluid flows, flooding, landscapes and sediment using an approach that is amenable to producing predictions and understanding implications under relevant climate change scenarios and land management change.

You will have a PhD in an environmental or engineering field allied to water science along with a proven track record of research funding and an international reputation for research excellence with high-quality publications. You should have a clear research vision including a programme of research over the next five years that would attract external funding and catalyse future trans-disciplinary initiatives.
