The School of Engineering and Applied Science is currently offering a range of studentships and bursaries across its 5 main disciplines of Computing, Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry, Electronic Engineering, Engineering Systems Management, and Mathematics.
We have primary focus Research Groups in:

- Adaptive Communications Networks,
- Bioenergy Research,
- Biomaterials and Biomolecular Science,
- Biomedical Engineering,
- Knowledge Engineering,
- Photonics,
- Neural Computing, and
- Sustainable Environment.
These positions are available to start in either July or October 2009
Financial Support
Financial support will be awarded competitively on a merit basis. The minimum award for successful Home/EU applicants will be a full tuition fee bursary. UK students will also normally be awarded a 3 year maintenance grant at the standard EPSRC stipend (currently £12,940), with corresponding standard EPSRC increases in subsequent years.
Successful applicants from outside the EU will normally receive a minimum of a tuition fee bursary at the difference between the ‘Home/EU' and the ‘Overseas' tuition fees (currently £8,270).

Person Specification :
The successful applicant should have a first class or upper second class honours degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject.
