Job Descriptions:

• Reporting to the Service Manager
• 1st level on-site technical support to customers
• Duties include basic installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting duties and system hardware.
• Upkeeping of all customers documentations.
• To perform 7 x 24 hours standby duties when assigned to
• Support all IT projects (As required).
• Network knowledge - CCNA
• System Knowledge - MCSE

Requirements:

• Diploma in Computer Science or IT
• MCSE and CCNA certification an advantage
• 1-2 years of experience in Windows server administration i.e. 95/NT/2000/2003 and Active Directory Server(ADS)
• Competent on desktop support
• Willing to work flexible hours and travel overseas when required

Unix Solaris System Engineer

Key Responsibilities :

• Create new file systems, resize and decommission them as required, using Veritas file system and Volume Manager
• Install, configure and maintain HA as required
• Maintain user ID’s, permissions and passwords at the Sun shell level
• Maintain SSH (Secure Shell access) to the Sun
• Schedule automated (batch) tasks and monitor batch tasks daily and as required
• Create scripts for simplifying the system administration
• Design & review Performance monitoring parameters for Sun machines and make recommendations as necessary
• Assist management for capacity planning activities
• Risk analysis for deployment of system or application patches

Key Requirements :

• Diploma/Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology
• Professional certifications will be an advantage
• At least 3 - 6 years pre-sales, technical and systems support experience in an enterprise environment
• Familiar with Enterprise Systems environment
• Experienced in troubleshooting, administration, scripting, systems-designing and batch operations
• Working experience with technologies relating to AIX, Linux, Sun Java, DB2, Oracle, Blackberry, Websphere or Lotus Domino will be an advantage
• In-depth knowledge in basic networking technologies (LAN/WAN) and other server/network systems hardware will be added advantage
• Knowledge in SAN, data backup and storage technologies will be added advantage
• Willing to travel and open to working on shift and standby
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
