Public Relations Officer - University of Leeds


Leeds University Business School is an international business school with over 2000 students from around the world. The School is accredited by AMBA and EQUIS and is now ranked 11th in the UK and 57th globally (Financial Times Global MBA Rankings 2009).

We are looking for an experienced, creative and proactive Public Relations Officer who relishes taking on responsibility and thrives on following the news agenda. Working alongside the Head of Marketing and Development and the University's central Media Relations Team, you will help formulate and implement a proactive media relations plan.

Along with drive and creativity, you will have excellent communications skills and the confidence to liaise with and influence a wide range of stakeholders. You will need a keen eye for detail, strong writing skills, be able to grasp complex issues quickly, have a good news sense and the ability to manage your own projects.

In return you will be joining an inclusive and friendly team with an excellent support system and plenty of scope to build a long term career.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, suitable candidates will have strong a communications / public relations background gained either agency or client-side, along with strong media relations capabilities
