Salary: 25,623-29,704 pa

The funds for this post are available until 30 September 2010 in the first instance.
The JDRF/WT Diabetes and Inflammation Laboratory is looking for a dedicated, self-motivated individual to join a small team running the network and computers used for research in the Laboratory. You will be responsible for a wide variety of system administration tasks including installation and maintenance of software, user support, helpdesk, troubleshooting, backup and web pages. Applicants should have a proven track record of system administration of Unix/Linux/XP/MacOSX systems in networked environment. Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Python, Perl, MySQL desirable.

Ability to communicate concepts via both written and verbal methods to all staff and a willingness to be a team worker are essential. This is a full-time post although applications will be considered from applicants wishing to work part-time.
